Course Description
In this course, students evaluate the role of business in society and the demands managers face in maintaining moral integrity while fulfilling their obligations as agents of organizations and firms.
Special emphasis is placed on ethical issues confronted by middle managers and we will look closer at the China-based CSR environment.

Integrating ESG into The Business Strategy
ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) has become a hot topic amongst policymakers, business leaders, and the public as we become increasingly aware of our production and consumption impacts on the environment and on the people in our communities. Companies are recognizing the need to act sustainably to create long-term value.
Budweiser APAC started its ESG Journey with sustainability more than a decade ago, determined to build a lasting company and create a better world for all stakeholders. As the largest beer company in Asia-Pacific, Budweiser APAC supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals focusing on smart agriculture, water stewardship, circular packaging, and climate action. The company has integrated ESG and sustainability into the financial aspects of the business. Many of our top management have financial incentives and targets linked to ESG performance. In July 2021, the company signed a total of USD500 million sustainability-linked loan revolving credit facilities with a bank consortium, one of the largest of this kind among publicly listed consumer goods companies in Asia Pacific.
Mr. Craig Katerberg will share how Budweiser APAC develops the strategy, defines clear responsibilities, and engages value chain partners to ensure sustainability is embedded into the business across all Budweiser APAC and the entire value chain. He will also share insights on building a robust ecosystem, leveraging innovation empowerment to address the most pressing challenges facing us today – and tomorrow.
